Metro at Fireclay

Metro at Fireclay offers a modern, well-located property with spacious floor plans and convenient access to public transit, though resident experiences are mixed. Staff responsiveness and friendliness are frequently praised, but maintenance delays, security gate failures, cleanliness issues in common areas, and concerns about fees are recurring complaints. The property appeals to those prioritizing location and amenities, but prospective residents should carefully evaluate maintenance reliability and total cost of occupancy.

Management responsiveness and communication are inconsistent, with some residents praising staff helpfulness while others report delayed maintenance responses, unaddressed work orders, and difficulty reaching the office. Billing practices and move-out fees are a significant concern, with residents reporting unexpected charges, unclear fee structures, and disputed deposit deductions. Staff professionalism varies; while many residents highlight kind and attentive office personnel, some report dismissive interactions and policy-focused rather than solution-oriented approaches to resident concerns.

Amenities at this property include a gym, pool, and heated parking garage that residents generally appreciate when functional. However, maintenance responsiveness is a significant concern, with elevators frequently breaking down for extended periods, gym equipment remaining unrepaired, and pool/hot tub closures lasting weeks or months. Common area cleanliness and upkeep are inconsistent, with recurring reports of odors in hallways, parking garages, and stairwells. Access systems, including parking garage gates and key fobs, frequently malfunction, creating security and convenience issues.

Maintenance response times are inconsistent, with residents reporting delays ranging from days to weeks for repairs, and some work orders being marked resolved without actually addressing the issue. While some residents praise quick HVAC responses and responsive maintenance staff, recurring complaints include slow elevator repairs, incomplete appliance fixes, and lack of follow-up on service requests. Communication and coordination between management and maintenance appears problematic, with residents reporting unscheduled entries and difficulty reaching staff.

Elevator reliability is a significant concern, with multiple residents reporting frequent breakdowns lasting weeks or months. Common building maintenance issues include hallway odors, cleanliness in common areas, slow response times for repairs, and malfunctioning access systems. While some residents report satisfactory experiences with amenities and front office staff, the majority of reviews cite persistent upkeep challenges that detract from the overall living experience relative to rent costs.

The property offers strong transit access with proximity to Trax and convenient access to dining and shopping, making it well-suited for residents prioritizing commute convenience. Parking options include indoor and underground heated parking, though some residents report challenges with moving truck access and garage gate functionality. Location is consistently praised as central to the Salt Lake valley area, though outdoor common areas and parking garage maintenance present ongoing concerns.
