brightplace is live

On April 28, 2026, brightplace launched as an AI-native apartment rental discovery platform. Built from the ground up on proprietary IntentOS technology, the platform introduces a fundamentally different approach to apartment search: renters describe what they are looking for in plain language, and brightplace matches them to apartments that fit across neighborhood, lifestyle, commute, and budget dimensions.

"We've built an engine that enables prospective renters to access the apartment supply in a way that is much more conversational," said Brian Lichtenberger, founder and CEO of brightplace.

What makes brightplace different

The platform indexes listing information directly from operator websites and validates the data in real time. Unlike traditional listing platforms that rely on filters, brightplace's AI Rental Advisor draws on property, neighborhood, financial, and lifestyle data to answer the questions renters actually ask: What is it like to live in this unit? In this property? In this neighborhood?

Christopher Yip, Partner at RET Ventures, noted: "AI is reshaping how renters discover their next home and how operators connect with demand." brightplace was selected for the inaugural RET Ventures Proptech AI Accelerator cohort.
